BREAKING: Osun NMA Cripples Health Services

The Osun State chapter of Nigeria Medical Association(NMA) today  commenced a seven day warning strike after the expiration of the 21 day ultimatum given to the state government.

Amiloaded gathered that the medical experts who rounded off a meeting few hours ago today took a defintive stand on the issue and down tools.

According to a close source to the meeting, the Association's action is unconnected to the payment of modulated salaries to its members by the state government, non- implementation of federal government salary scales for doctors despite implementation of federal govt tax regimen and the refusal to pay six months salaries when the union went on strike last year.

The Association which have on many occasions shown its displeasure over the poor handling of its members salaries and other benefits are insisting on the state meeting its responsibility of providing the citizenry best health care delivery service as a dividend of democracy.
