Ekiti APC Guber Aspirant Acquires 1,050 UTME Forms For Ekiti Indigent Students

A Former House Of Representatives Member, Hon. Bimbo Daramola has distributed 1,050 free Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms to indigent Ekiti indigenes in the 2nd Edition of his human development initiatives tagged: "Teach Them How To Fish."

Daramola, a Governorship aspirant on the Platform of the All Progressives Congress, while speaking after the distribution of the forms on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at AB Hall, Opopogboro, Adebayo, Ado Ekiti, said the initiative was to empower young persons in Ekiti state through education.

"We have alot of young people outside there who cannot afford the price/cost of a UTME form and this has caused them not to be able to continue  with their education," he said.

He noted that the acquisition of the forms  is a little out of his empowerment drives promising that he would continue to do more after he being elected governor of Ekiti state.

Hon. Daramola said the programme would help the beneficiaries, most of whom are from poor homes to acquire quality tertiary education.

"This Initiative is vital for youths of Ekiti state to be relevant and be educated in order to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.

Amiloaded gathered that the beneficiaries of Daramola's large heart have showered praises and prayers on him saying he would lead the state by God's grace.

On of the students who simply identified herself as Funke said " May God Almighty bless Hon. Daramola for us. I have been at home since I passed my WAEC last year due to the fact that my parents cannot afford to purchase N8,000 UTME form for me. But now, Hon. Daramola has wiped my tears, I can now write my exam and gain admision to the higher institution.

Parents of the beneficiaries were not let out in the joy as they also prayed for the emergence of Hon. Daramola as the governor of Ekiti state on this year.
